She is also interested in social science, investigative journalism, essay collections, and nature writing. On the fiction side, Jess is looking to represent literary and upmarket fiction. She is drawn to novels that are smart, beautifully written, and explore the complexities of being human. She likes books that have an outsider's perspective, or engage with social issues in a nuanced way. She lives in Brooklyn.
